WellSpan York to unveil helipad today

(York) — A midstate hospital is set to open a helipad this morning, as it completes the first phase of its renovation.
A ceremonial helicopter landing at 10:15 a.m. will officially mark the occassion at WellSpan York Hospital.
When completed in 2017, the $50 million renovation will add a unit for quick care, rooms for behavioral health patients, and design changes to allow for more efficient care.
As a note of disclosure, WellSpan is an underwriter for WITF’s Transforming Health project.
