Ann Wynn is the pseudonym of the late Patricia AnneSheer. In midlife, she committed herself to formally developing painting and drawing skills. She wanted especially to capture the emotions of the moment, and being right-handed, she intentionally did all her work with her left hand to directly access the subconscious element of art. Struggling with self-doubt, she never felt her work was ready for a public showing. This exhibit, organized by her husband Peter Scheer, will be the only one of her work.

Phil Scheer is the son of Peter andPatricia Anne. He completed a degree in studio art at Messiah College, and explored ceramics. He was selected as an “emerging artist” at the Mt Gretna Festival in 2008. But he has now moved to a different calling, studying religion, languages and spiritual subjects as part of his training to become a Roman Catholic priest. This will be the only exhibit of his work as well.

Expressions of Emotion will open on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at the Gallery Lili-Rosa 237 Main St., York Springs, Pennsylvania, 17372. A reception will be from 1 to 8 PM.The exhibit will remain on displayuntil November 17.
