Little change in midstate state House delegation

(Harrisburg) — Those hoping for a shake-up in the midstate’s delegation to the state House saw no changes.

All the incumbents secured victories, from Mark Keller to Glen Grell to Seth Grove and Will Tallman.

None face a challenge in the November general election, essentially securing another two year term for each.

Seth Grove represents the 196th Legislative District, which includes parts of York County like Dover and Shiloh, and says voters just wanted a leader.

“Out there working hard every day, trying to actually solve problems, just not talk about it. Just not discuss the issues, but actually try to tackle them with common sense, conservative solutions.”

Grove says he’s thankful for the voters choosing him again, but isn’t going to really celebrate.

“It’s back to work. Heading up to Allentown to talk about municipal pension reform. We have a budget to settle. We need our colleagues over in the Senate to help us with liquor privitization and school property tax reform.

In the newly drawn 169th legislative district, Kate Klunk won the Republican nomination, topping three other candidates.

No Democrats filed for the seat, but a write-in candidate could emerge in November.

Republicans outnumber Democrats in the district by about 6-thousand.

It was an early night for most of the incumbents in the midstate delegation for the state House.
