The artwork of local children’s book illustrator Megan Lloyd will be part of an exhibit by the Perry County Council of the Arts. The exhibition will be at the PCCA Gallery at One S. Second Street in picturesque Newport, PA.

Original watercolors from Lloyd’s best-known book, The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything, written by Linda Williams, will be among the works on display. For the first time artwork from the book will also be available for sale.

Other PCAA member illustrators whose work will also be part of the exhibit will include Jessica Barlup, Scotty Brown, Highway Hannah, Biruta Akerbergs Hansen, Gloria McPherson, Marie Morrison and Dirk Shearer. All of the art in the exhibit will include some sort of narrative element.

The opening reception will be Friday, September 6, from 6-8:30 pm, free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided. The exhibition will continue through October 12.
