(Carlisle) — We’ve been exploring many aspects of bullying as part of our “Pushed Around” project.

And we asked, how do people become bullies?

witf‘s Craig Layne introduces us toSabumnim Johnny Birch, the founder of the Carlisle Tae Kwon Do and Fitness Academy.

Long before Birch earned his black belt, served in the Army and started inspiring students through martial arts, he was a self-admitted bully.

“First kid I saw that looked at me funny, he got hit,” Birch remembers of his school days.

Listen to Birch’s story and hear how he managed to stop being a bully and focus on helping children…
