(Undated) — A boil water advisory has been lifted for Pennsylvania American Water customers in parts of Cumberland County.

The company says customers in Silver Spring Township, Hampden Township, East Pennsboro Township and Lower Allen Township no longer have to boil their water before use.

Theboil advisory was issued Saturday due to a leak on a service line at the Silver Spring Square shopping center on Carlisle Pike in Silver Spring Township.

Tests for bacteria allowed the state Department of Environmental Protection to lift the precautionary advisory early Monday morning.
