First Annual HopeSummit: A Symposium on Bullying

The Foundation for Hope is hosting the First Annual HopeSummit: A Symposium on Bullying on May 11, 2013 at the Midtown Scholar Bookstore in Harrisburg, Pa. This event is free and open to the public. The Foundation for Hope is a community outreach program created to raise awareness of the harmful realities of bullying, depression and suicide.

The tentative schedule is as follows:

  • 12-12:30 p.m. – Registration and welcome at Midtown Scholar
  • 12:30-4 p.m. – Speakers and presentations at Midtown Scholar
  • 4:30-6 p.m. – Panel discussion at main stage of Midtown Scholar
  • 6-7:30 p.m. – Screening of “Out In The Silence” at main stage of Midtown Scholar
  • 6-9 p.m. – Meet and Greet at LGBT Community Center of Central PA next door

The Meet and Greet will be an opportunity to ask follow-up questions or engage in conversation with the speakers, panelists and organizers of the event. Food and beverage will be provided.
