What is WITF Passport?

WITF Passport is a new member benefit which provides WITF donors extended on-demand access to a rich library of quality public television programming. This is one of the many benefits that WITF provides its donors, along with Central PA Magazine, A Lot Going On- our monthly e-Newsletter, first-to-know insight and exclusive invitations to community events.

Why is WITF making this service available?

WITF PassportAs more and more people are watching television content on demand on computers and digital devices, WITF Passport gives WITF members a way to enjoy extended access to PBS and WITF content on platforms including computers, smartphones and tablets and streaming video devices like Apple TV.

What kind of content can I find on WITF Passport?

At launch, WITF Passport will include several hundred hours of programming, representing many genres, including drama, science, history, natural history and the arts. Notable titles include MASTERPIECE series such as Downton Abbey and Wolf Hall, along with other favorites such as Nature, NOVA, Vicious and The Great British Baking Show and many more.

The WITF Passport library will continue to grow as more series and episodes are added.

How can I find content that's available on WITF Passport?

Members who wish to take advantage of WITF Passport, must activate their account for access. You will be asked to register and to confirm your identity and membership status. You can start enjoying WITF Passport right away.

Who qualifies for WITF Passport?

WITF Passport is the newest member benefit available from WITF for donors with a yearly contribution of at least $60 or an ongoing monthly contribution of $5 or more and have a valid email address on file. It cannot be purchased separately.

Will there still be free streaming on PBS.org and WITF.org?

Yes. PBS and WITF content will continue to be available for free on PBS.org, WITF.org, and other digital platforms. WITF Passport provides extended access to a rich library of content for WITF members to enjoy.

How does WITF Passport align with the mission of public television?

PBS and WITF content will continue to be available for free at WITF.org and on other digital platforms. WITF Passport goes one step further by offering extended access to a rich library of content for station members.

Certain content, including kids, news and public affairs programs will remain accessible to everyone.

I'm not seeing my favorite PBS show in WITF Passport. Why not?

Initially, several hundred hours of content will be available via WITF Passport. This library of content will continue grow over time as more titles are added.
