"The time and effort you took to show us all aspects of your facility was very educational. Thank you for giving these students an experience they will never forget!" - Central PA Elementary School Teacher
The WITF Public Media Center is the home for WITF TV, WITF 89.5 & 93.3, news networks RadioPA Networks and Public Radio Capitol News, the Central PA Magazine, witf.org, WITF Educational Services, Top Flight Media and Media Solutions. The Public Media Center is a destination – a place for public participation in creating programs and in learning. WITF’s educational tour program offers lively, interactive tours of the WITF Public Media Center, a state-of-the-art multimedia production facility. Tour visitors will enjoy a welcoming, dynamic demonstration of WITF’s creativity and technology at work. Trained guides will lead visitors through the Public Media Center’s specially-designed tour route, offering a behind-the-scenes perspective on WITF’s multimedia operations and content production. These free tours feature interactive presentations, observation areas, lively audiovisuals, and even hands-on activities – an interactive “demonstration station” studio offers visitors the opportunity to try out key roles in audiovisual production. Each tour lasts approximately 45 minutes to one hour, with plenty of opportunity for questions. Come see it for yourself and enjoy a fun learning experience appropriate for all ages. We are eager to welcome you!
Tours are given by appointment only and must be scheduled at least three weeks in advance. Visitors of any age may request a tour. We suggest that groups larger than 20 are divided into smaller touring groups to ensure a high-quality tour experience. If you wish to visit the Public Media Center outside of the suggested tour schedule, we will make every effort to accommodate your requested date and time.
