In one Bucks County district, a diversity, equity and inclusion initiative was put on hold after it became a flashpoint in debates that touched also on COVID-19 safety protocols, including mask mandates.

The league has committed to create a social justice coalition, work with elections officials to convert NBA arenas into polling places, and create advertising spots to promote “greater civic engagement in national and local elections.”
