Pittsburgh City Council introduces ’10 commitments’ of racial equity

The 10 commitments include: eliminating race-based disparities across all of city government departments and units; using training and coaching opportunities to eliminate systematic racism and white privilege; and transforming African-American communities from areas of concentrated poverty to mixed-income.

Pittsburgh City Council introduces legislation scrutinizing Parks Conservancy

Four city councilors introduced legislation on Tuesday that would scrutinize the city’s relationship to the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy, calling for a review of all working agreements with the organization.
