What to look for on Smart Talk, Friday, May 31, 2019:

More than three dozen military veterans may have died while waiting to be seen or treated at Veterans Hospitals. Action was taken to reduce wait times - first in the Obama Administration and now during the Trump Administration.

A new law that's takes affect next week expands the criteria for veterans who have long wait times or distances to drive to seek care in the private sector.

The Secretary for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Robert Wilkie talks about health care for veterans on Friday's Smart Talk.

Also, more than 800 thousand -- maybe up to 11 million Pennsylvanians -- don't have access to high speed broadband internet service and it's not just an inconvenience. It has an impact on the education of school students, where employers and businesses choose to locate and even can reduce property values. Bringing broadband internet service to mostly rural areas of Pennsylvania is a priority some lawmakers and the Wolf Administration.
