Total Solar Eclipse Live

We join our colleagues at South Carolina ETV to provide you this live event to safely see the eclipse. South Carolina is the prime location for a total solar eclipse crossing the U.S for the first time since 1918.

Live from Columbia, South Carolina, the 3rd largest city in the US on the centerline, SCETV host Beryl Dakers and guests will follow the "path of totality" and capture images from the South Carolina State Museum Observatory telescope. Viewers will have the extremely rare experience of witnessing a 100% total solar eclipse.

The program offers audiences not equipped with special glasses or viewing devices a safe way to view the eclipse.  More information including NASA and other national and state astronomy resources that are available...

On NOVA, join scientists and citizens alike as they observe the first total solar eclipse to traverse the US mainland in more than a generation.

Discover the storied history of eclipse science and follow current, cutting-edge research into the solar corona.

Tune in for a safe way to view the eclipse on NOVA. You can watch NOVA at a special time Monday August 21 at 9:00pm on WITF.
