WITF's Multimedia News Department: (L to R) Ben Allen, Scott LaMar, Tim Lambert, Cara Williams Fry, Joe Ulrich, Marie Cusick, Fred Vigeant, Mary Wilson, Cary Burkett

You’re not imagining things, the voices you wake up to, drive with and listen to each day may all sound familiar, but we've made a few changes to their schedules.

Ben Allen, the most recent voice of Morning Edition, is now witf’s first full-time general assignment reporter. In this role, Ben’s reporting will facilitate coverage of news across the region and within our communities. He will also produce monthly features for Transforming Health and Beyond the Bio and he runs witf’s Public Insight Network.

So who is the new voice of Morning Edition?

Actually, he’s not new at all. witf welcomes News Director, Tim Lambert back to mornings! Beginning Monday, March 3, Tim Lambert resurrected his morning routine from nearly three years ago to wake and inform us for the day. Trading places with Tim in the afternoon, Cary Burkett now hosts Fresh Air and All Things Considered.

Finally, witf bids a fond farewell to Matt Paul, co-host of Smart Talk Friday as he relocates to North Carolina. Smart Talk host Scott LaMar joins Smart Talk Friday beginning March 7.
