Ed Arke, Weekend Host / WITF

Ed Arke is a local Weekend Edition host who can also be heard reporting and filling in on Morning Edition and All Things Considered weekdays.  

He was first heard on WITF in 1990.

Growing up in Pittsburgh, Ed was influenced by Mister Rogers Neighborhood and public broadcasting at an early age.  He continues to study the philosophy and theology of Fred Rogers as a professor of Communication at Messiah University.  Ed earned his bachelor's and master’s degrees from Shippensburg University and a doctoral degree from Duquesne University.
