What began as an effort to save a historic log home from demolition has grown into an ongoing mission to preserve local history in Mifflinburg.

Frank Stroik, board president of Preservation Mifflinburg, joins The Spark to discuss the history of the Gutelius House Museum and the community effort that rescued the 1803 structure at auction in 1997. The home, tied to early Union County history, now serves as a museum and educational resource.

The conversation explores the importance of historic preservation, the stories connected to the Gutelius family, and how grassroots community action helped ensure a piece of Pennsylvania history was not lost.
