Tom Baldrige
Hello, I’m Tom Baldrige, Pennon’s Interim President and CEO, and I hope you’re having a great start to 2026.
Leigh Horner
And I’m Leigh Horner, chair of the Pennon board. First and foremost, Tom and I want to thank you for being part of this journey with us. We truly could not do this without you. This year began with an important milestone for local journalism, as LNP | LancasterOnline became an independent nonprofit under Always Lancaster. Now, Pennon and Always Lancaster are operating as two separate organizations.
And here at Pennon, we’re fully focused on what’s next. As we move into 2026, we’re pleased to share a preview of what you can expect to see from us in the year ahead.
Tom Baldrige
First, we’ll be growing our WITF news team to expand coverage across our service area. Connecting the communities of Pennsylvania through trusted journalism is vital to our mission and will continue to guide our work into the future.
Second, if you’re a fan of British period dramas — and who isn’t a fan of British period dramas? — you’ll be happy to know that we’ve just begun airing a new season of All Creatures Great and Small, and the highly anticipated show, The Forsytes premieres in March on WITF-TV and through WITF Passport.

Third, Pennon Education will deliver hands-on, high quality learning to kids all year long. Through programs like Kids Night Out, children engage in meaningful STEAM learning, and our Slide into Summer camps provide creative, inquiry-based learning.
Fourth, WITF’s daily radio show The Spark continues to connect listeners across our region. Recently, the team visited the Farm Show to speak with leaders in agriculture, and in the coming months, they’ll collaborate with Braver Angels and travel to the York County History Center for a screening of the documentary After Ike.

Finally, we’re proud to launch a new podcast called Cloth of the Nation, hosted by veterans and long-time supporters of WITF, Dale and Jan Hamby. The series will feature thoughtful, honest conversations that elevate the voices and experiences of military veterans across our region.

And all of this is possible because of you. You can continue to support the programs you value by making a contribution through our annual Roses Campaign. The campaign runs from January 23rd through noon on February 14th. It’s a great way to send roses to someone special while helping sustain the work you care about here at WITF.
Tom Baldrige
Your support through campaigns like The Roses allows us to continue building what comes next. As 2026 unfolds. We’re energized, focused, and ready to make this our most impactful year yet. Thank you for your continued support.
