Capl Retail LLC DBA Joe’s Kwik Marts, 103 N. Pottstown Pike, Exton, Complaint, November 26. Pass. Clean toilet and sink in restroom.
Dollar Tree #4125, 400 W. Lincoln Highway, Suite 400, Exton, November 26. Pass. Observed food boxes stored directly on the floor in walk-in freezer, rather than 6 inches off of the floor as required. Move boxes to be 6 inches off of the floor as required. Stained ceiling tiles observed in restroom and hallway leading to restroom. Repair leaks and replace ceiling tile. Clean toilets and hand sinks in restrooms.
Grillzup, 775 S. Church St. West Chester, Opening, November 26. Fail. The water temperature of the wash compartment of the manual warewashing equipment was 70 degrees F, rather than not less than 110 degrees F, as required. Repair water heater to ensure adequate water temperature for warewashing. Food facility hot water heater is not producing enough hot water to supply both sinks at the time of this inspection. Repair water heater. The handwash sink located in the on the truck does not have water at a temperature of at least 85 degrees F. Repair water heater to ensure adequate water temperature for handwashing.
Long Way Home Grill & Pub, 4690 Horseshoe Pike, Honey Brook, Complaint, November 26. Pass. Rags were observed tied to pipes located in ceiling near downstairs bar area. Flooring above exposed floor joist in basement near corner of bar (appears to be below soda dispenser located upstairs) was also observed to be water-damaged. Ceiling tiles were observed water-damaged in downstairs employee hallway, in hallway near downstairs restrooms, ceiling tiles in women’s and men’s restrooms and wall in women’s restroom was water damaged. Repair plumbing within 10 days. Ceiling tiles in downstairs restrooms, hallway near restrooms, employee hallway downstairs and wall in women’s restroom downstairs must be repaired or replaced within 14 days.
Malvern Gas Inc., 1425 Paoli Pike, West Chester, November 26. Fail. One chicken sandwich (120 degrees F) and two hot dogs (118 degrees F) were less than 135 degrees F or above as required in the hot holding area. Foods were discarded. Storage totes (ex: from Lowes) are not food grade. Replace food containers with food grade containers. Thermometers for ensuring proper temperatures of food are not available or readily accessible. Obtain food probe thermometer. Ice shoot interior on soda machine, a food contact surface, was observed to have residue and was not clean to sight and touch. Clean and sanitize today. Non-food contact surfaces not cleaned at a frequency to preclude accumulation of dirt and soil. Clean the following: Floors under soda boxes in back room; Ground around dumpsters outside; Walk-in cooler floors. No sign or poster posted at the handwash sink in the restroom to remind food employees to wash their hands. Post sign.
