The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, 866-366-3723, uses a risk-based inspection reporting process for restaurants and other food handlers.

Dover Area Elementary School, 109 E. Canal St. Dover, November 21. Pass. No violations.
Dover Area High School, 4500 Intermediate Ave. Dover, November 21. Pass. Exit/Entry door located in the back of building by dock doors area of the food facility has a gap and does not protect against the entry of insects, rodents, and other animals. Food facility inspection indicates evidence of rodents/activity in kitchen, dish counter areas, but facility does have a pest control program. Multiple droppings throughout the kitchen area, chew holes in dried pasta.
Dover Area Middle School, 46 W. Canal St. Dover, November 21. Pass. Top and bottom edge around new walk-in cooler and walk-in freezer needs to be finished. Under Three-Compartment sink needs to have a smooth transition from floor to wall. Three-compartment sink needs to have a line of caulking around back lip.
Dragon Mart, 4346 N. George St. Extension, Manchester, November 21. Pass. Food Facility is using / offering for sale foods prepared in an unapproved private home. Operator is frying short mixed farfar in his home kitchen placing fried farfar in ziplock bags and selling at the retail food facility. Corrected – removed from sales floor and discarded. Observed cases of bowl noodles, vegetables and bagged dry foods stored directly on the floor in storage room area, rather than 6 inches off of the floor as required. Observed personal food, ingredients, and leftovers in the refrigerator of the food facility, indicating use of the food facility as personal living quarters. Old unused equipment, cardboard boxes are stored in closets/small rooms within the food facility, should be removed from food facility.
Leib Elementary School, 2925 Oakland Rd. Dover, November 21. Pass. No violations.
