The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, 866-366-3723, uses a risk-based inspection reporting process for restaurants and other food handlers.

Country Fare Restaurant, 498 E. Lincoln Ave. Myerstown, November 14. Pass. Exposed food preparation observed under dirty ventilation ducts, and subject to potential contamination. Assorted food containers were observed on the drying shelf with food residue and were not clean to sight and touch. Removed for cleaning. Litter on floor under shelving and equipment in various areas.
Dutch-Way Farm Market, 649 E. Lincoln Ave. Myerstown, November 14. Pass. Food was held at 43-46 degrees F, in the kitchen/buffet refrigerator, rather than 41 degrees F or below as required. All food was voluntarily discarded, and the unit will be evaluated and repaired as needed. Assorted packages on the front of open refrigerated salad displays were 46-50 degrees F. This case was 37 degrees F at 4 inches back from the front. Assorted containers and utensils on the drying racks were observed to have food residue and were not clean to sight and touch. Removed for cleaning. Observed clean food containers stored wet in a manner that does not allow for draining and/or air drying (wet nesting). Removed for cleaning.
A&J Pizza, 2134 W. Maple St. Lebanon, November 13. Pass. Six ceiling tiles in the kitchen area are stained indicating water leaking. Small stand-up freezer with accumulation of ice and needs to be defrosted.
