Swatara Coffee Co., 40 E. Market St. Jonestown, Regular/Complaint, November 7. Pass. Food facility inspection indicates evidence of cockroach activity (6 dead 1 nymph live and 2 egg casing) in cooking/coffee area, but facility does not have a pest control program. Facility does not have a Food Certified Manager staffed during all hours of operations. No sign or poster posted at the handwash sink in the Bathroom area to remind food employees to wash their hands. Corrected.

AA Comics & Cards, 610 Cumberland St. Lebanon, November 6. Pass. No violations.
Al Noor Food Market, 531 Cumberland St. Lebanon, Follow-up, November 6. Pass. Beef observed thawing at room temperature on the counter, which is not an approved thawing method. Some of the beef was 51 degrees F instead of 41 degrees F or below. Observed the bottom of the slicer covered with plastic and foil. Plastic and foil are not able to be cleaned. This part of the slicer should be covered with a material that is durable and can be cleaned and sanitized as needed. Thermometer for ensuring proper temperature of food is not available or readily accessible. One freezer is plugged into an extension cord instead of being plugged directly into an outlet as required by City Ordinance.
