Vintage enthusiasts have a reason to mark their calendars as the 717 Vintage Fest returns, bringing together more than 80 curated vendors from seven states under one roof. Organizer Jessica Weikert says the festival is designed not only for shopping but also to build a community around a shared love of vintage items. “Once you’re in that community, you get to know people,” she explained. “Having vended at a lot of other events, I wanted something that was just for the vintage vendors to people who already have a shared passion and a shared love.”

The festival showcases a wide range of vintage items, from early 20th-century antiques to Y2K clothing and collectibles. Weikert clarified what makes an item truly vintage: “The technical definition for vintage is it has to be at least 20 years or older… We have people bringing stuff that would be considered antiques, mid-century modern, and all the way up to 90s and Y2K stuff as well.” Unlike thrift stores, each vendor at the festival curates their products carefully, offering quality items in specific niches such as streetwear, retro housewares, or collectibles.

Shopping vintage offers more than just unique finds, Weikert noted. “Vintage, buying vintage, wearing vintage, you can get a lot of really unique stuff. There’s also a lot of quality that people really love… You can’t get that quality stuff for the price, not secondhand. And that’s an incredible value.” The festival also emphasizes sustainability, allowing attendees to try on clothing or examine items in person while supporting local vendors. “Most vintage…they acquire locally…so those dollars stay in your community as well,” Weikert said.

As 717 Vintage Fest celebrates its tenth event, visitors can expect an engaging experience that combines shopping, community, and sustainability. Whether you’re hunting for a rare collectible, a statement piece of clothing, or vintage décor, the festival promises something for every lover of retro and timeless finds.
