Little Caesars, 11374 Buchanan Trail, Waynesboro, Oct. 25. Pass. Food employee observed donning single use gloves without a prior hand wash. Food employee observed in kitchen area wearing jewelry. Exit door in the back area of the food facility has a gap and does not protect against the entry of insects, rodents, and other animals.

Dollar Tree No. 1707, 1351 Lincoln Way, Unit 1707, Chambersburg, Oct. 24. Pass. Observed a dried-on spill on the sales floor in need of cleaning. Mops are not being hung to air-dry.

Macedonia United Brethren Church, 11887 Worleytown Road, Greencastle, Oct. 24. Pass. Observed moldy buildup in the ice machine.

Mikey D’s All-American Grill, mobile food facility Type 4, 111683 Brookdale Drive, Waynesboro, Oct. 24. Pass. No violations.

New Franklin Elementary School, 3584 Wayne Road, Chambersburg, Oct. 23. Pass. No violations.

Dave’s Hot Chicken, 520 Gateway Ave., Unit 1 and 2, Chambersburg, Oct. 22. Pass. No violations.

Djeph Multi Services LLC, 801 Wayne Ave., Chambersburg, Oct. 22. Fail. Person in charge does not have adequate knowledge of food safety in this food facility as evidenced by this noncompliant inspection. Food employee did not follow proper hand-washing procedure. Food employee did not wash hands for adequate amount of time. Facility does not have procedures for employees to follow when responding to an event involving vomit or fecal matter. Food observed in the kitchen area that is slimy to the touch, spoiled, moldy and is adulterated. Facility has packaged food that is not labeled as required. Facility is unable to verify that fish being used or offered for sale is from approved sources. Foods received by the food facility had observed evidence of temperature abuse, dehydration, ice crystals, discoloration. Food in the refrigerator area stored open with no covering. food ingredient storage containers, in the kitchen and refrigerator area, is not labeled with the common name of the food. Unpackaged food stored or displayed in direct contact with ice in freezer. Utensils or equipment being used in contact with food is not properly cleaned and sanitized prior to use. Frozen foods observed not maintained in a frozen state in the freezer. Ready-to-eat food not date-marked or was beyond the date-marking and requires discarding. Food is being sold as food but does not meet the standards of identity for food as found in the code of Federal Regulations. Foods were not from an approved source, but food facility did not discard as required by the PA Food Code. Dispose of unused or out of service equipment. Food facility does not have a three-compartment sink for manual warewashing. Interior surface of equipment – chest freezer / microwave is cracked and/or repaired with materials unapproved for food equipment. Food-contact surface was observed to have food residue and was not clean to sight and touch. Nonfood-contact surfaces not cleaned at a frequency to preclude accumulation of dirt and soil. Observed no chemical sanitizer being used on equipment and utensils after washing and rinsing them and prior to use. The food facility does not maintain Food Employee Certification records as required. Indoor storage area for refuse has material on interior and is not an easily cleanable surface. Food facility does not have enough outside waste receptacles as evidenced by refuse and waste lying on the ground. Interior facility surfaces in the kitchen area not durable, smooth, nonporous, nonabsorbent. Observed bedding and clothing materials in the food facility, indicating use of the food facility as living or sleeping quarters. Observed personal food, ingredients and leftovers in the refrigerator of the food facility, indicating use of food facility as personal living quarters. Toilet rooms do not have a self-closing door. Door to the outside is not self-closing and/or is being propped open. Paper towel was empty at sink. Facility is extremely dirty, dusty and in need of cleaning. Hand-washing sinks, toilet, urinal are not being cleaned as often a necessary to keep them clean. Restricted-use pesticide is being applied in the food facility by a noncertified applicator. Restricted-use pesticides does not meet the requirements specified in the Code of Federal Regulations.

Franklin County CTC, 2463 Loop Road, Chambersburg, Oct. 20. Pass. Observed the fan guards of the walk-in cooler on the culinary side, nonfood-contact surfaces not cleaned at a frequency to preclude accumulation of dirt and soil.

South Hamilton Elementary School, 1019 Warm Spring Road, Chambersburg, Oct. 20. Pass. Observed the door to the walk-in freezer to have a buildup of ice along the bottom and corner of the door.

The Carving Board Of Chambersburg Pa, 1400 Social Island Road, Chambersburg, Oct. 20. Pass. No violations.
