Potentially hazardous ready-to-eat food prepared in the food facility and held for more than 48 hours, located in the refrigerator, is not being date-marked. Paper towel dispenser empty at the handwash sink in the prep area. Temperature measuring device for ensuring proper temperature of equipment is not available or readily accessible in coolers equipment.

Copperz Brewing Co., 798 S. 4th St. Hamburg, August 22. Pass. Observed raw hamburgers thawing at room temperature on the counter by the walk-in cooler, this is not an approved thawing method. Corrected. Two working spray bottle containers in the cook area, used for storing chemicals and taken from bulk supplies, were not marked with the common name of the chemical. Corrected.
Historic Joanna Furnace, 1250 Furnace Rd. Geigertown, August 22. Pass. Observed apparent rodent droppings along the walls in the kitchen and storage area. Firm has a pest control service.

Mary Jane’s Kitchen, 1816 State Hill Rd. Wyomissing, August 22. Pass. Food facility does not have available sanitizer test strips to determine appropriate sanitizer concentration at the dishwasher and 3-compartment sink. Working containers (spray bottles) in the kitchen and front areas, used for storing chemicals, cleaners taken from bulk supplies, were not marked with the common name of the chemical. Corrected.
