Bent Creek Country Club/19th Hole, 620 Bent Creek Dr. Lititz, Follow-up, August 22. Pass. No violations.
Fish Bread and Chicken, mobile food facility Type 3, 1909 Cloverleaf Rd. Mount Joy, August 22. Pass. No violations.
Heritage Hotel/Loxley’s Restaurant & Bar, 500 Centerville Rd. Lancaster, Follow-up, August 22. Pass. No violations.
Lantz Creative Salads & More (building 1), 955 N. State St. Building 1, Ephrata, August 22. Pass. Several salads not received at proper temperature, refrigerated at 41 degrees F or below. Items were found at 43-48 degrees F. Voluntarily discarded.
Long Community At Highland, 600 E. Roseville Rd. Lancaster, August 22. Pass. Observed assorted soups placed hot in the “open air” cooler in the outside service area, in containers greater than 4 inches deep, which is not a proper cooling method. Observed assorted soups being cooled in an “open air cooler” in the outside cooling unit in quart containers with tight-fitting lids, which is not a proper cooling method. The temperature for the assorted soups ranged from 51 degrees F – 88 degrees F. The cooling unit has a work order in for fluctuating temperatures; the ambient temperature of this unit was 50 degrees F according to the inspector’s calibrated thermometer and the Serve Safe Manager. TCS foods are not permitted to be stored in this unit until it maintains a cold holding temperature of 41 degrees F or colder. Observed a pitcher stored in the handwash sink in the outside service area. Hot dogs, a refrigerated, ready to eat time temperature control for safety food in the cooling unit in the outside service area, was date-marked by the facility, but was beyond the 7 day use or sell by date and requires discarding. Prepackaged assorted desserts, assorted soups, Amish Wedding Casserole, Steak and Potatoes, Stuffed Shells, Mesquite Pork, and Jamaican Jerk Chicken are not labeled to clearly indicate any “Big 9” allergen ingredients and/or the allergen warning statement. Prepackaged assorted soups, assorted Jello with fruit, coleslaw, crab salad, Amish Wedding casserole, steak and potatoes, stuffed shells, Mesquite Pork, and Jamaican Pork are not labeled properly with the ingredient statement and distributed by statement. Soap was not available at the handwash sink in the outside service area.
