VFW Post #8896, 107 Locust St. East Berlin, June 20. Pass. Food contact surfaces of plastic food storage containers are not smooth, easily cleanable and/or resistant to pitting, cracking or scratching. Observed boxes of tortillas and mushrooms stored directly on the floor in the kitchen area, rather than 6 inches off of the floor as required. Corrected. Condenser fan and ceiling above food in the walk-in cooler have an accumulation of dust, dirt, and debris. Frozen macaroni and cheese and steaks observed thawing at room temperature on the prep table, which is not an approved thawing method. Corrected. Condensate drip line for the ice machine is disconnected allowing water to drip onto the floor in the kitchen area instead of into the drain. Corrected.
