Ninh Kieu Vietnamese Cuisine, 344 E. Main St. Annville, June 12. Pass. Observed personal care items such as toothbrushes, hairbrushes, bathing towels, clothing, lotions, etc. stored in the food preparation area of the facility. Old unused equipment stored in exterior areas, should be removed from the property or stored properly. Personal items, shoes, clothing, hats, games, blankets, towels, facility also has an entire personal fridge and storage area for snack items are stored in areas throughout the kitchen and storage are.
Restaurant Latino, 42 S. 8th St. Lebanon, Follow-up, June 8. Pass. Observed clean food equipment stored under ceiling panels that are damaged and deteriorating. This area is above the 3-compartment sink. The covered lid of the covered receptacle was open and the trash was spilling out onto the floor. It is either not emptied frequently enough or it is not large enough to handle the amount of waste generated. Potentially hazardous ready-to-eat food prepared in the food facility and held for more than 48 hours, located in the front self-service display case, is not being date marked. Frequency of cleaning behind the large chest freezer is inadequate. Toilet tissue is not on the dispenser. Observed one deeply scored cutting boards not resurfaced or discarded as required.
Rey Azteca of Palmyra, 14 N. Londonderry Square, Palmyra, June 10. Pass. Observed hole in wall by the ice machine in the kitchen area which needs to be repaired. Flooring going into walk-in cooler tiles are damaged and need to be repaired. Observed food in the walk-in cooler uncovered. Corrected. Back door located in the back room area of the food facility has a gap and does not protect against the entry of insects, rodents, and other animals. Knives stored on magnetic knife soiled and not clean to sight and touch. Corrected. Food facility inspection indicates evidence of roach activity in bar area at keg cooler, but facility does have a pest control program.
