Milky Way Restaurant, 99 Path Valley Rd., Fort Loudon, June 13. Pass. The soda bib area, in the basement, has a soda syrup spill and several plastic caps (garbage), on the floor and is in need of cleaning. The ceiling of the microwave and the commercial can opener, food contact surfaces, were observed to have food residue and was not clean to sight and touch. Observed wet wiping cloths in the soup area, not being stored in sanitizer solution. Chlorine sanitizer residual detected in the sanitizer bucket, next to the ice cream area was 0 ppm, and not 50-100 ppm as required. Observed the exterior the of the fryers, in the fryer area, with an accumulation of encrusted grease and food residue, on non-food contact surfaces.

Soap was not available at the handwash sink in the prep-area. Paper towel dispenser empty at the handwash sink in the bathroom area. Air ducts/vents need clean in the walk-in refrigerator and bathroom. Observed non cleaning frequency in the walk-in refrigerator. All shelves need cleaned.

Bill`s Kwik Check Market, 816 Lincoln Way, West Chambersburg, June 9. Pass. An ashtray was found on cabinet in the back storage area during the inspection. Assistant Manager threw the ashtray away. Observed the fan guards, in the walk-in cooler, non-food contact surfaces not cleaned at a frequency to preclude accumulation of dirt and soil. Observed the mop sink has a hose attachment that is hanging below the flood rim of the sink and not an appropriate air gap. Mop head observed in the handwash sink, indicating uses other than handwashing.
