Giant Food #6088, 450 E Main St Middletown, May 30. Pass. Observed accumulation of static dust build-up on the fan guards in the walk-in coolers in the deli department and bakery department. Observed gaskets, in the produce department, on the two Beverage Air two door baine marie cooling units with build-up of dried fruit/vegetable debris and in need of cleaning. Observed coated metal shelving in the Traulsen two door baine marie cooling unit in the seafood department is rusted and missing coating. Shelving is in need of repair or replacement.

Hong Kong Chef @ Giant Foods, 450 E Main St Middletown, May 30. Pass. Non-food contact surfaces not cleaned at a frequency to preclude accumulation of dirt and soil. Observed the following on non-food contact surfaces: A large stainless strainer at the floor drain opening near the three bay sink area filled with rice, noodles and other food debris and was not emptied or cleaned the night before. The two walls on either side of the walk-in cooler door with accumulation of food splatter and in need of cleaning. A Giant paper bag stored soaked in grease under a pan to the left of the wok cooking area. Bag is not a cleanable surface and needs to be removed or changed out every four hours as required. A two door upright cooling unit in the seafood/meat department that belongs to the facility is in need of deep cleaning the interior and exterior and handles. Observed clean food equipment (1/4 stainless pans) on the sink drain area, stored wet in a manner that does not allow for draining and/or air drying (wet nesting). Observed a honing stone in a deteriorated wooden holder with dried food debris and small fruit-fly like insect crawling on it. The wood is not a cleanable surface and should not be used to house the honing stone. Discussed with Giant Store Manager and corrected on site. A cleaver and grater stored in the knife caddy on the wall to the right of the walk-in door, with food accumulation on both and not clean to site or touch. Discussed with Store Manager and corrected on site.

Downey School, 1313 Monroe St. Harrisburg, May 29. Pass. Food facility inspection indicates evidence of rodents/insect activity in storage areas, facility does have a pest control program.

Observed numerous bowls and cooking utensils belonging to the food truck stored outside on a picnic table and directly on the ground. Bowls and utensils were observed to be not clean and sanitized. Corrected on-site.

Derry Township Community Center, 605 Cocoa Ave. Hershey, May 28. Pass. Observed old food debris on interior surfaces of microwave in the concessions area, a food contact surface. Corrected on site. Observed commercially processed refrigerated, ready to eat, time/temperature control for safety food (chicken sandwiches/cheeseburgers), located in the bain marie refrigeration unit in the concessions area, being held more than 24 hours, is not being date marked. Observed floor drain in the cafe area, a nonfood contact surface, with accumulation of dirt/debris. Corrected on site.

Observed foods being held at 57°F, in the Hoshizaki bain marie unit in cooking area, rather than 41°F or below as required. Corrected on site. Observed static dust accumulation on shelf storing plates in cooking area. Corrected on site.

Sunset Golf Club Snack Bar, 2601 Sunset Dr. Middletown, May 27. Pass. Wall in the kitchen area, has a hole from the exit door handle, and is in need of repair.
