Holiday Inn Express, 5011 Louise Dr. Mechanicsburg, May 22. Pass. Observed accumulation of old, caked on, juice residue on underside of juice dispenser, a nonfood contact surface, and needs cleaning. Warewashing sink does not have basins large enough to accommodate the largest piece of equipment needing manual warewashing.

Henrys Pharmacy, 10000 Molly Pitcher Highway St. Shippensburg, May 20. Pass. No violations.

CVS Pharmacy #5726, 702 East King St. Shippensburg, May 20. Pass. No violations.

Karns Foods, 1023 State St. Lemoyne, May 20. Fail. Food employees observed in meat/seafood area, not wearing proper hair restraints, such as beard covers. Corrected on site. Observed racking at the large upright open front chicken cooler to be rusted and in need of replacement or re-finishing of surface. Observed tags being kept in order, which is a huge improvement over last years inspection. However, tags are not marked with in and out dates of product. The Person in Charge did not demonstrate adequate knowledge of food safety in this food facility as evidenced by this non-compliant inspection. Observed the following on food contact surfaces: Large meat saw with dried food debris on the interior blade housing and not clean to sight or touch. Corrected on site. Knife, on the cutting board area of the far end of the meat department with dried food debris on the handle. Corrected on site. Two seafood steamer interiors in the meat/seafood department, not being cleaned the night before. Corrected on site. Observed drain at the walk-in door of the seafood area and the walk-in cooler of the produce area to be clogged with debris and in need of cleaning. Observed display case door guides and door handles to not be cleaned at a frequency to prevent contamination. Observed static dust accumulation on the the fan guards in the meat department walk-in cooler. Observed a red bucket with a metal scrubby inside stored in the hand-wash sink in the meat department. Corrected on site. Observed knee faucet for hot water to be broken and un-operable in the meat department hand-wash sink. Permitted meat department to continue operation as there was a second hand-wash station near the three bay sink area. Discussed with Manager and work ticket would be entered to repair. Paper towel dispenser empty at the handwash sink in the produce room area. Employee was trained on site how to change out the dispenser for paper towels and corrected. Garage door located in the back stock area of the food facility has a gap and does not protect against the entry of insects, rodents, and other animals. Potential rodent harborage area inside the food facility in the back stock area due to observation of two small rodents on a glue board.

Soltan Bazar Inc, 5103 Carlisle Pike Mechanicsburg, May 20. Pass. Observed packaging and condiments stored directly on the floor in main kitchen. Also, observed items, throughout the backroom, stored on directly on the floor rather than 6 inches off of the floor as required. The following food contact equipment was observed to have food residue and was not clean to sight and touch: – ban saw in cut room – slicer in cut room – multiple utensils in main kitchen.

Wayback Burgers, 25 Gateway Dr. Unit 107 Mechanicsburg, May 20. Fail. Observed food ingredient storage containers, throughout the facility, are not labeled with the common name of the food. Observed the following not being cleaned at a frequency to preclude accumulation of dirt and debris: – Interior/exterior of all refrigeration units including gaskets – Underside of soda machine – milk shake machine – Table under the flat top grill. Commercially processed refrigerated, ready to eat, time/temperature control for safety food, located in the walk-in, and held more than 24 hours, is not being marked with the date it was opened. Refrigerated ready to eat, time/temperature control for safety food prepared in the food facility and held for more than 24 hours, located in the walk-in, is not being date marked. The Person in Charge did not demonstrate adequate knowledge of food safety in this food facility as evidenced by this non-compliant inspection. Observed the following: -Intake / exhaust air ducts throughout the facility with accumulation static dust -Grease and static dust accumulation on the flood lights throughout the facility -Static dust and mold on the return vent in the walk-in cooler. Food facility has an employee who held a Certified Food Manager certificate; however, the certificate has expired and is no longer valid. Observed large gaps in exterior door seal at the restroom exit. The following food contact surfaces were observed to have food residue and was not clean to sight and touch: – Three knives – Multiple cooking pans and storage bins – Vegetable dicer – Storage container full of unclean smallware’s. Mops are not being hung to air dry Corrected on site. Drains throughout the facility have accumulation of organic matter.

Zaiqa Kabab & Grill, 5202 Simpson Ferry Rd. Mechanicsburg, May 20. Fail. Observed frozen meat in the back-room freezer stored open with no covering. Corrected on site. Several raw animal foods were stored above ready to eat foods in the walk-in cooler. The Person in Charge did not demonstrate adequate knowledge of food safety in this food facility as evidenced by this non-compliant inspection. Old unused equipment, supplies and miscellaneous items stored in kitchen area, should be removed from food facility. Observed food ingredient storage containers, in the kitchen area, are not labeled with the common name of the food. Refrigerated ready to eat, time/temperature control for safety food prepared in the food facility and held for more than 24 hours, located in the walk-in, is not being date marked. Observed frozen chicken with ice crystals being stored in grocery bags. Observed the following non-food contact surfaces in need of cleaning: -Spice storage bins with dried buildup of spice on handles and exterior of bins -Bain Marie has buildup of old food debris on gaskets and exterior of the unit. Observed the hood system and Ansel system pipes with large amount of grease and build up in need of cleaning. Observed the following on food contact surfaces: -Knives on magnetic holder with old food debris -Meat Grinder with dried food debris -Dough press with dried dough and caked flour throughout the unit -Floor mixer with dried dough on mix arm and interior bowl -Storage containers with dirt and debris storing single use lids and cups -Storage container with debris storing utensils with dried food debris. -Ban saw with a large amount of dried organic material present. -15-20 metal pans with dried food debris. Floors and walls are extremely dirty/ greasy and in need of cleaning. Observed single-service, single-use articles stored throughout the facility which were not in the original protective package or inverted for protection from contaminants. The handwash sink in the kitchen area does not have single use towels, continuous towels, or air-drying device. Corrected on site. No sign or poster posted at the handwash sink in the kitchen area to remind food employees to wash their hands.

El Sol Cantina, 3721 Market St. Camp Hill, May 19. Pass. Observed a shelf on the green racking in the dish area with a white build up. Discussed with Owner and will be corrected by the end of today. Observed clean food equipment and/or utensils in dish area, stored wet in a manner that does not allow for draining and/or air drying (wet nesting). Corrected on site.

Gruver Farms Tasting Room, 255 Stetler Road New Cumberland, Opening, May 19. Pass. No violations.

House Of Gains Supplements, 4900 Carlisle Pike Unit D15 Mechanicsburg, May 19. Pass. No violations.

Jasmine Chinese Kitchen, 5510 Carlisle Pike Mechanicsburg, May 19. Pass. Observed food ingredient storage containers, in the walk-in and cook line area, are not labeled with the common name of the food. Observed refrigeration equipment throughout the facility, with an accumulation of dust, dirt, food residue, debris on non-food contact surfaces. Observed the following: -Utensils being stored on the surface of the wok that is not clean. -Multiple utensils stored clean on a shelf with standing water. -Storage containers with food debris Corrected on site. Refrigerated ready to eat, time/temperature control for safety food prepared in the food facility and held for more than 24 hours, located in the walk-in, is not being date marked. Observed floors and drains throughout the facility with a large amount of build-up including organic material, grease and debris.

Tikka Shack, 825 Hogestown Rd Mechanicsburg, May 19. Pass. Observed cutting boards with large areas of damage from heat making them not easily cleanable. Corrected on site. The following food contact equipment was observed to have food residue and was not clean to sight or touch: multiple knives mixer robo-coup brand food chopper vegetable dicer Corrected on site. Observed shelves on multiple prep tables, Non-food contact surfaces, not cleaned at a frequency to preclude accumulation of dirt and soil. Observed multiple holes and a large amount of damage to the wall above the 3-bay sink in need of repair. Observed drains throughout the facility in need of deep cleaning.
