Avocado Cafe, 33 N. Main Street Chambersburg, April 3. Pass. Food ingredient storage containers, in the walk-in, are not labeled with the common name of the food. Food in the walk-in was observed to not be date marked. Hood system is not adequate to remove heat and/or grease, as evidenced by condensate and/or grease collecting on the walls, ceilings, and fixtures. Food facility does not have available sanitizer test strips or test kit to determine appropriate sanitizer concentration. A chlorine solution shall have a minimum temperature based on the concentration of PH. It was “0” and it was to be 50-100 PH on dish machine.

Crab 88, 493 Gateway Avenue Chambersburg, April 3. Pass. Observed wet wiping cloths that were not being stored in sanitizer solution. Person in Charge corrected the violation on the spot. Non-food contact surface, freezer door, was not cleaned at a frequency to preclude accumulation of dirt and soil. Observed that the vent system in the hood area is extremely dirty. Observed toxic material that was not clearly labeled with a manufacturer’s label. Person in Charge corrected the violation on the spot.

Rise Coffee Company LLC, Mobile Food Vendor Chambersburg, April 3. Pass. No violations.

103 Main Street Convenience Store, 103 S. Main Street Chambersburg, April 2. Pass. Food was held at 48 degrees F, in the Refrigerator, rather than 41 degrees F or below as required.

Bori Delicias, 166 S. Main Street Chambersburg, April 2. Pass. Observed deeply scored cutting boards not resurfaced or discarded as required.

Maria & Sal’s Pizzeria & Ital Restr, 4550 Lincoln Way East Fayetteville, April 2. Pass. No violations.

Montezuma Mexican Restaurant, 820 Wayne Ave. Chambersburg, April 2. Pass. Food, in the freezer area, is a packaged food possibly subject to water entry and is stored or displayed in direct contact with ice. Food dispensing utensil in the food container was observed stored in the food and not with handle above the top of the food and the container. The can opener was observed to not be clean and does not allow for cleaning. Observed deeply scored cutting boards not resurfaced or discarded as required. Ice Machine interior bin, a food contact surface, was observed to have food residue and was not clean to sight and touch. Air ducts in the kitchen and Walk-in refrigerator needs cleaned.

Chambersburg Area Middle School North, 1957 Scotland Ave. Chambersburg, April 1. Pass. No violations.

Chambersburg Area Middle School-south, 1151 E. Mckinley St. Chambersburg, April 1. Pass. Food was held at 56 degrees F, in the refrigerator, rather than 41 degrees F or below as required.

Asian Bazaar, 1710 Lincoln Way Chambersburg, March 31. Pass. No violations.

Chambersburg Area Senior High School, 511 S Sixth St. Chambersburg, March 31. Pass. Ice machine interior bin, a food contact surface, was observed to have residue and was not clean to sight and touch. The handwash sink located in the prep area does not have water at a temperature of at least 85 degrees F.

Dollar General Store #15070, 50 Caplin Way Saint Thomas, March 31. Pass. Observed cashews being stored under deodorant and lotion, peanut butter being stored with bug spray. The milk cooler, in the sales area, cannot be easily disassembled using common handheld tools, for cleaning and inspection thus, making it uncleanable. The Men’s Toilet room did not have a self-closing door. Rear receiving door located in the food facility has a gap and does not protect against the entry of insects, rodents, and other animals.

Falafel Shack, 9 N. Main St. Chambersburg, March 31. Pass. Observed deeply scored cutting boards not resurfaced or discarded as required. Ice machine interior bin, a food contact surface, was observed to have residue and was not clean to sight and touch. Vent air duct needs cleaned in the walk-in refrigerator and bathrooms.
