Red Lion Hotel Harrisburg East, 4751 Lindle Rd. Harrisburg, Follow-up, March 28. Pass. No violations.
Halifax Fire Department, 22 River Rd. Halifax, March 27. Pass. No violations.
Hershey Legion Social Club, 166 E. Derry Rd. Hershey, March 27. Fail. The Person in Charge did not demonstrate adequate knowledge of food safety in this food facility as evidenced by this non-compliant inspection. Eggs were stored above ready to eat foods in the walk-in cooler. Chili, prepared by the facility, date-marked with discard date of 03/24/2025 observed in walk-in cooler. Observed the following refrigerated, ready-to-eat foods adulterated by the facility with no date-marking in bain-marie unit: chopped lettuce and onions, opened bags of shredded cheddar and sharp cheeses, and an opened pack of hot dogs. Corrected on site. Observed three moldy green bell peppers in bain-marie unit. Discarded and corrected on site. Observed one gallon of 2% reduced fat milk with Best-By-Date of 03/24/2025 not disposed of and stored in walk-in cooler. Observed ceiling tiles in kitchen area with an accumulation of static dust and grease build-up with the possibility to contaminate food contact surfaces. Old food residue, dishes and utensils observed in the handwash sink in bar area indicating uses other than handwashing. Spray bottle of cleaner observed in the handwash sink indicating uses other than handwashing. Paper towel dispenser empty at the handwash sink in the kitchen area.
