The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, 866-366-3723, uses a risk-based inspection reporting process for restaurants and other food handlers.

Harbour House Crabs, 1752 Highland St. Harrisburg, March 21. Pass. No violations.

Fink Elementary School, 150 N. Race St. Middletown, March 20. Pass. exterior door located in the kitchen area of the food facility has a gap and does not protect against the entry of insects, rodents, and other animals.

Great American Bagel, 1 Terminal Dr. Middletown, Opening, March 20. Pass. No violations.

M&D Grocery Store Corporation, 2200 N. 6th St. Harrisburg, Opening, March 20. Pass. The Food Facility Operator shall be the Person in Charge or shall designate a Person in Charge and shall ensure that a Person in Charge is present at the food facility during all hours of operation. The Person in Charge did not demonstrate adequate knowledge of the PA Food Code as evidenced by incorrect responses to food safety questions. Expired baby formula on site…and short dated (5/25) on shelf…. discarded. Raw eggs were stored above ready to eat foods in the deli cold hold. Time in lieu of temperature being used in the food facility to control ready to eat potentially hazardous foods without written procedures or documentation to verify disposition of food (Empanadas). Temperature measuring device for ensuring proper temperature of equipment is not available or readily accessible in equipment. Hood system is not adequate to remove heat and/or grease, as evidenced by condensate and/or grease collecting on the walls, ceilings, and fixtures. Non-food contact surfaces not cleaned at a frequency to preclude accumulation of dirt and soil. The handwash sink located in the bathroom does not have water at a temperature of at least 100 degrees F. Lights are not working in hood area. Improper locks and no door knob on bathroom door. No sign or poster posted at the handwash sink in the bathroom to remind food employees to wash their hands. Toilet seat broken Cleaning needed.
