President Donald Trump on Tuesday night gave his first address to a joint session of Congress since he won a second term in the White House.

Here were the first public reactions to Trump’s more than 90-minute speech from some of Pennsylvania’s Congressional delegation Tuesday night.

Rep. Lloyd Smucker, Republican

Rep. Brendan Boyle, Democrat

Rep. Guy Reschenthaler, Republican

“Tonight’s joint address to Congress saw President Donald J. Trump outline his accomplishments and vision for our nation’s future – one of prosperity, patriotism, and America First policies. In just over 40 days into his second term, President Trump has delivered more results for the American people than the previous administration’s entire four years of incompetence. The border is now secure at levels not seen in this century, our communities are safe, and our country is back to being respected across the world after years of weakness and appeasement. Our nation’s Golden Age is here, and I am proud to champion the president’s agenda in Congress as we work to build off this unprecedented success and restore America.”

Rep. Madeleine Dean, Democrat

Rep. Mary Gay Scanlon, Democrat

Rep. Dan Meuser, Republican

Rep. Glenn Thompson, Republican

Rep. Mike Kelly, Republican

“Tonight, President Trump made it clear: America is back, and we are open for business. Just as importantly, he will operate government like a business. The President is committed to restoring the American Dream for all Americans, cutting wasteful spending, lowering taxes, securing our borders, and getting our great nation back on track. I look forward to working with President Trump to enact his America First agenda in the year ahead!”

Rep. Chrissy Houlahan, Democrat
