Experience a festive and uplifting Christmas special as The Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square join award-winning artists Lea Salonga and Sir David Suchet as they perform classic Christmas carols, treasured holiday songs, and an heroic Christmas story.
The Tabernacle Choir, a 360-member chorus of volunteers from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, has been around for over a century. The choir began as a small group of church members led by Church President Brigham Young in 1847. The choir’s mission is to spread the universal language of music that has the power to bring peace, joy, and healing to all that listen. World renowned actress and singer, Lea Salonga is well-known for her powerhouse voice and perfect pitch. Her greatest achievement is her Tony award for her performance in Miss Saigon in addition to her Oliver, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, and Theatre World Awards. Sir David Suchet is regarded as one of England’s finest stage, screen and TV actors. He is best known for his 25-year-long performance as the suave Belgian Hercule Poirot in Agatha Christie’s works. Tune in to a night of musical celebration and a showcase of extraordinary talent.
