Father Brown: A Lavish Party Ruined by Murder

An extravagant ball hosted by Lady Felicia is completely ruined when an important guest, Sir Charles Hakeworth, is strangled to death at her party.

A death threat stating that “the Red Death” was coming had already led to Inspector Mallory closing the estate, trapping the murderer. With the help of Mrs. McCarthy, Sid and Bunty, Father Brown look to discover the killer from four people who knew Hakeworth would be in attendance.

Among the suspects are his wife, his doctor, Bunty’s friend Ruth and Robert, the Earl of Finchmore whose father died by suicide after discovering Hakeworth’s adulterous affair with Robert’s mother.

Unfortunately, the culprit – who wears a red mask – doesn’t get caught before stabbing one of the suspects as they fled.

Meanwhile, Lady Felicia is faced with a difficult decision about whether to stay in her marriage when a one-way ticket to New York arrives.
