A timeless romantic comedy – Tom Jones – received a modern-day adaptation courtesy of BAFTA-nominated Gwyneth Hughes (Vanity Fair) and MASTERPIECE.

Solly McLeod (House of the Dragon) stars as the handsome, resourceful Tom Jones, and Sophie Wilde (You Don’t Know Me) as the beautiful and seemingly unattainable love of his life, Sophia Western. Tom is a foundling of uncertain parentage and Sophia is an heiress.
Emmy-winning actress Hannah Waddingham (Ted Lasso) plays the seductive and vengeful Lady Bellaston, who is one of the several women who come between Tom and Sophia.
In the finale, Tom’s deceitful letter to Lady Bellaston threatens to sink his prospects with Sophia, then a swordfight lands him in even deeper trouble. Finally, a secret comes to light and some mysteries are solved.
