Originally premiering in 2022, Broadway star Sutton Foster reprised her Tony Award-winning role as Reno Sweeney and made her West End debut in P.G. Wodehouse and Cole Porter’s golden age musical, Anything Goes.
The performance also stars three-time Olivier Award and Tony Award-winner Robert Lindsay, Felicity Kendal and Gary Wilmot.
Anything Goes tells of a romance aboard the SS American set to a timeless score. Tony Award-winning choreographer Kathleen Marshall directed the London production featuring classics such as I Get a Kick Out of You, You’re the Top, and – of course – Anything Goes.
When the ship sets out to sea, etiquette, and convention are tossed overboard as two unlikely pairs chart a new course to true love. Sometimes destiny just needs a little help from singing sailors, disguise, and some good, old-fashioned blackmail.
This musical is part of Great Performances’ Broadway’s Best lineup, which also includes Celebrating 50 Years of Broadway’s Best and Richard III.
Watch Great Performances: Anything Goes on Friday, May 26 at 9pm on WITF TV, or stream it anytime with WITF Passport.
