The Senate Has Voted to Eliminate Public Media Funding

The Senate has passed the Recissions Act of 2025, which would completely defund public media. The amended bill now heads back to the House for consideration.

This vote threatens federal support for WITF — putting at risk the educational programs, trusted news and emergency communications our community relies on, both locally and from PBS and NPR.

Your voice is urgently needed. Call your Representative and donate today to help protect the future of local public media.

They Survived Together shares the true story of the Neiger family’s vow to escape certain death in Nazi-occupied Kraków together.

Before the arrival of World War II, the Neiger family lived a peaceful life in Krakow’s Jewish community. The war changed their lives forever. When Nazi soldiers forced the family from their home into the harsh life of the Ghetto, they planned to escape as a family. But circumstances forced them to separate from their older brother Ben and their will to survive was put to the test.

Siblings Cesia, Ben, Hanka, Basia, and Tosia share their first-hand accounts of the family’s journey to freedom and a new life in America. The Neiger family was one of the few to escape and survive as a whole family.
