Doug Mastriano touts endorsement from anti-abortion group. What does it mean?

Hey, all! Welcome to the first installment of *drum roll* Fact Check Fridays!

Today, Doug Mastriano touted an endorsement from an anti-abortion group & called for Pa. to re-enact a law requiring minors to get parental consent before receiving an abortion.

Research from the NIH suggests these laws haven’t lowered youth abortion rates since the mid-90s.

It may not even be necessary.

In a study from the Guttmacher Institute, 89% of minors surveyed voluntarily consulted with their parents before ending their pregnancies.
