“Call the Midwife” Season 11 Comes to an End

Hope and duty pull Nonnatus House through its darkest day

Call the Midwife is coming to the end of its 11th season. Watch the season finale Sunday, May 8 at 8pm on WITF TV.

Commissioned in partnership with the BBC, the 8-part series followed the nurses, midwives and nuns from Nonnatus House in London’s East End. It picked up in the spring of 1967, with a cheerful Easter bonnet parade and celebration.

Watch the season finale of Call the Midwife on WITF TV Sunday at 8pm, or stream it after its broadcast for free through the PBS Video app or online until May 27.

But the series is ending on a less cheerful note. The aftermath of a tragic accident in the heart of Poplar ripples through the community. Nonnatus House is faced with its darkest day yet, but the team must overcome personal anguish to help the injured.

The season finale episode will be available to stream through the PBS Video app and online after its WITF TV broadcast until May 27.
