(University Park, Pa)  —  The 11th-ranked Penn State Nittany Lions are back home this weekend following a huge season-opening road win in Wisconsin last Saturday.

The Lions will host the defending MAC champion Ball State Cardinals at Beaver Stadium.

After a year of empty stadiums due to COVID, Lions wide receiver Jahan Dotson said it’ll be great to see and hear the home crowd again.

“It gets louder than any place I’ve ever been in the country.   It’s one of the best fan bases in the country.   It’s a major opportunity for me and for my teammates who haven’t gotten to experience that.   I can’t wait,” said Dotson.

Over 100-thousand fans are expected to pack Beaver Stadium.

Both teams are coming off season-opening wins last Saturday.

Penn State beat Wisconsin 16-10 and Ball State topped Western Illinois 31-21.

The Cardinals can’t be taken lightly. They return 20-starters and are on an 8-game win streak dating back to last season.

It’s the first ever meeting between the two schools.

Kickoff is at 3:30.
