Concerts on Colonial: The Music of Johannes Brahms

Filmed at Faith Immanuel Presbyterian Church in Harrisburg’s Lower Paxton Township, Concerts on Colonial presents The Music of Johannes Brahms.

This hour-long independent production will feature three internationally acclaimed artists, Grammy-nominated violist Melissa Reardon, Artist in Residence at Bard College and Conservatory (Annandale-On-Hudson, New York); baritone James Martin, a professor at Dickinson College (Carlisle, Pennsylvania); and clarinetist Alexander Fiterstein, Chair of Woodwinds at The Peabody Institute (Baltimore, Maryland), joined by pianist Caleb Flick, Director of Musical Ministries at Faith Immanuel Presbyterian Church and Founder/Creator of Concerts on Colonial.

The program will feature Brahms’s beautiful Op. 120 Sonatas, for viola or clarinet, and piano, punctuated by a pair of German Lieder, or art songs, “Longing at Rest” and “If I Speak with the Tongues of Men and of Angels”.
