(Lancaster) – Law enforcement is releasing new details about the disappearance of an 18-year-old Amish woman in Lancaster County last month.
Justo Smoker, 34, was arrested late last week in connection with Linda Stolzfoos’ disappearance on June 21, when she was walking home from church on Beechdale Road in Bird-in-Hand.
DA Adams said the investigation involves assembling a timeline of events on and around June 21.
She also said there has been nothing found to indicate Linda knew Justo Smoker prior to the kidnapping. (6/) pic.twitter.com/9oWgu12eaJ— Lancaster DA (@Lancaster_DA) July 16, 2020
Smoker is currently charged with one count kidnapping, a felony in the first degree, and one count of false imprisonment, a second-degree misdemeanor. He is being held in Lancaster County prison without bail.
Trooper Kevin Kochka said they are specifically looking for anyone who has seen Smoker’s car – a red Kia Rio.
“There is no piece of information or evidence in this case that is insignificant. We as a community will continue to work together until we find Linda,” Kochka said.
Stoltzfoos’ whereabouts remain unknow, but police found what they describe as “intimate clothing” buried in an undisclosed wooded area.
Investigators said her family did not know Smoker and they have no reason to believe she would willingly get into his car. He has denied knowing Stoltzfoos.
State police say they have had more 500 volunteers participate in the investigation.
The FBI has offered a $10,000 reward to find her. Anyone with information can call 1-800-CALL FBI or go to the agency’s website tips.fbi.gov.
