(Harrisburg) —  State lawmakers from Lebanon County have called the Governor’s move to leave the county as the only one remaining in his “yellow” COVID-19 reopening plan as purely political.

On Friday Governor Tom Wolf announced he is moving all of the remaining counties except one into the “green” reopening zone.

Wolf said the 12 additional counties will include Philadelphia and its suburbs, the Lehigh Valley and Erie.

The only one of the state’s 67 counties not in green or moving to green in a week will be Lebanon County.

The Wolf administration is blaming a vote to reopen a month ago by Republican Lebanon County commissioners.

The administration says Lebanon’s infections have ticked up, preventing it from being added to the less restrictive green zone.

Immediately after yesterday’s announcement, the County’s representatives in Harrisburg fired off a letter addressed to Wolf’ and county residents saying if there was ever any doubt that the governor and Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levine are more motivated by politics than concerns about public health, that doubt has been erased.

Republican Senator Dave Arnold,.. and republican house members Frank Ryan, Russ Diamond and Sue Helm said the governor has lost all credibility regarding every aspect of his shutdown,.. and deserves only to be ignored.
