The COVID-19 pandemic caused another 100 deaths in Pennsylvania and has resulted in more than 600 more infections, the state Health Department said Tuesday.

The agency said its running total of deaths is now at 5,667, along with nearly 73,000 infections.

Here are the latest figures for central Pennsylvania counties:

  • Adams: 255 cases, including 8 deaths
  • Berks: 4107 cases, including 321 deaths
  • Columbia: 349 cases, including 31 deaths
  • Cumberland: 644 cases, including 52 deaths
  • Dauphin: 1359 cases, including 77 deaths
  • Franklin: 781 cases, including 36 deaths
  • Juniata: 95 cases, including 4 deaths
  • Lancaster: 3218 cases, including 306 deaths
  • Lebanon: 980 cases, including 33 deaths
  • Mifflin: 59 cases, including 1 death
  • Northumberland: 198 cases, including 3 deaths
  • Perry: 62 cases, including 3 deaths
  • Schuylkill: 643 cases, including 36 deaths
  • Snyder: 45 cases, including 1 death
  • Union: 60 cases, including 1 death
  • York: 1028 cases, including 26 deaths

The number of infections is thought to be far higher than the confirmed count because many people have not been tested, and studies suggest people can be infected without feeling sick.

Pennsylvania is currently in the process of a phased reopening, and under Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf’s stoplight-colored system, 57 of 67 counties are currently in the less restrictive yellow or green zones.

The remaining counties in red, the most restrictive region, are expected to become yellow by the end of the week.
