Fans of Mumford and Sons will be able to catch an epic, hit-filled concert from the multi -award-winning British folk-rock band on Friday May 29 on WITF. Filmed in 2016 before an adoring audience of die-hard fans in South Africa, Mumford and Sons – Live from South Africa: Dust and Thunder captures the group in their prime and gets to the very heart of what makes Mumford and Sons such a special act.

The talented quartet of Marcus Mumford (singer/guitarist/drummer), Ben Lovett (keyboards), Winston Marshall (guitar, banjo) and Ted Dwane (bass) bring their distinctive fusion of bluegrass, folk, country, and rock to the Pretorian outback. Merging the sound of fiddles, banjos, horns and upright bass with guitars, pounding drums, and inspiring vocals, the group delivers a set list of their biggest hits.

From the chart-topping “I Will Wait” and the toe-tapping “Little Lion Man” to the anthemic “The Cave” and the alternative-sounding “Believe,” the concert captures Mumford and Sons’ musical range as well as the audience’s spellbound enthusiasm for the songs. Additional stand out performances include the slower-paced “Ghosts That We Knew” and the special guest-filled number “WONA,” featuring Baaba Maal, Beatenberg, and The Very Best adding the sounds of Africa.

Watch Mumford and Sons – Live from South Africa: Dust and Thunder Friday May 29 at 9pm on WITF.
