Latino USA joins our radio line-up

Latino USA is a weekly one-hour program that for 25 years has provided a platform for Latino voices and perspectives in the radio news landscape. The program joins our Sunday afternoon line-up at 2:00 PM.

Hosted by the award-winning journalist, news anchor and author Maria Hinojosa, Latino USA specializes in news, culture and storytelling that creates a space where Latino Americans hear their experiences reflected, and where non-Latinos can join the conversations happening in Latino communities.

Latino USA has received many awards for its exceptional programming, including the Peabody Award, the Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award, the Edward R. Murrow Award, the National Journalism Award, the Gabriel Award, the Gracie Allen Award, and numerous awards from the National Federation of Community Broadcasters. The program won a Peabody Award in April 2015 for its 2014 episode “Gangs, Murder and Migration in Honduras.

Latino USA replaces Studio360 at 2:00 PM Sundays.  Studio360 recently concluded production.  Additionally, WITF will be adding a live broadcast of BBC Newshour in place of Reveal Sundays at 4:00 PM.  Reveal will continue to broadcast Mondays at 2:00 PM.
