(State College) — Relief from the current heat wave is on the way, but before it gets here we’ll have to deal with more dangerous weather.
The National Weather Service in State College has issued an excessive heat warning for the mid state until 8pm Sunday night.
High temperatures today are again forecast to reach the upper 90’s with heat index values between 105 and 110 degrees.
Officials with the National Weather Service are again urging people to limit outdoor activity and to stay hydrated.
Rain and storms are forecast for our region on Monday, and along with them, a drastic reduction in temperatures and lower humidity by Tuesday.
High’s Tuesday are only expected to be in the upper 70’s.
