Central Pennsylvania could see major flooding if Florence moves inland over the Carolinas and travels up the eastern seaboard, said Rob Miller, a meteorologist with AccuWeather.com. (Photo: AccuWeather.com)

Uncertainty still exists with the storm, and residents are urged to stay tuned to the forecast.

(Undated) — Tropical Storm Florence, which is expected to re-intensify into a hurricane, could bring “major flooding” to central Pennsylvania late next week if it strikes the Carolinas and moves up the eastern seaboard.

That’s the one scenario that meteorologists are watching right now, said Rob Miller, senior meteorologist with AccuWeather.com. The other is that the hurricane curves out to sea and would not have any impact on central Pennsylvania.

“There’s still a lot of uncertainty,” he said.
